Legal – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form an agreement between you (“Client,” “you”) and NK Heating Solutions (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accepting a quote or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
- Contractor — NK Heating Solutions and our employees.
- Client — the person or organisation commissioning the work.
- Quote — a written proposal setting out the scope of work, price, and site address.
- Contract — the agreement formed once the Client accepts the Quote.
2. Quotes & acceptance
- Quotes and surveys are provided free of charge. A significant travel distance may occasionally mean a charge applies — this will always be agreed with you beforehand.
- A Contract is formed once the Client accepts the Quote, in writing or verbally.
- Work is carried out in line with the relevant industry standards for the trade involved (for example, Gas Safe requirements for gas work, MCS requirements for air source heat pump installations).
- Any additional work beyond the Quote will be agreed with you in writing before it’s carried out.
3. Changes & site conditions
- If site conditions turn out to be different from what was expected — for example, unexpected pipework, wiring, or access issues — we’ll let you know and agree any changes with you before continuing.
- Please let us know about anything relevant to the property (recent work, known issues, access arrangements) before the job starts.
4. Accreditations & standards
Our work is carried out under the relevant accreditations for the job, which may include Gas Safe, MCS (via NICEIC/BPEC), PAS2030 (for government-funded work), and Trustmark. The specific accreditation depends on the type of work being carried out.
5. Guarantee
Government-funded work, air source heat pump installations, and insulation work are covered by our Qualitymark insurance-backed guarantee — 25 years on the system, 2 years on workmanship.
This guarantee does not cover general gas or oil work, general plumbing, or private bathroom installations, unless that specific job is government-funded. Please ask us to confirm what’s covered for your particular job.
6. Insurance
We hold public liability insurance, employers’ liability insurance, and professional indemnity insurance.
7. Payment
Payment terms, deposit requirements, and any late payment charges to be added.
8. Cancellations
Cancellation policy and any associated charges to be added.
9. Waste & environmental responsibility
We hold a Waste Carriers Licence and responsibly remove and dispose of waste from our work, including old boilers and hot water tanks, insulation waste, and old bathroom suites.
10. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including images, text, and branding — belongs to NK Heating Solutions. It may not be reproduced, redistributed, or reused without our prior consent.
11. Liability
We carry out our services professionally and with care, in line with this Contract. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our liability for any loss or damage is limited to the extent covered by our insurance.
12. Complaints
If you have any concerns about our service, please contact us and we’ll work to resolve the issue fairly and as quickly as we can.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and any disputes will be handled by the Scottish courts.
